LATEST: Legendary actor hospitalized suddenly after complaining of breathing problems!
On the morning hours of Sunday, June 6, legendary actor Dilip Kumar was rushed to hospital after he complained of breathing problems. Dilip Kumar has been admitted to the non-Covid ward of PD Hinduja Hospital Khar and is currently under treatment. Dilip's wife and actress Saira Banu requested the fans to pray for the legendary actor's speedy recovery. The news was also shared on Dilip Kumar's official Twitter handle. The tweet read, "Dilip Sahab has been admitted to non-Covid PD Hinduja Hospital Khar for routine tests and investigations. He’s had episodes of breathlessness. A team of healthcare workers led by Dr. Nitin Gokhale is attending to him. Please keep Sahab in your prayers and please stay safe".
It can be noted that Dilip Kumar lost his two younger brothers - Aslam Khan (88) and Ehsan Khan (90) due to the Covid 19 virus. Dilip Kumar is 98 years old now. Dilip Kumar is a legendary actor who is known for popularizing the method acting technique in Indian cinema. He is considered to be one of the greatest actors in the history of Indian cinema. After making his debut in the film Jwar Bhata in 1944, Dilip Kumar was in action for five decades, until 1998.
Some of his most memorable movies in the filmography include Andaz, Aan, Daag, Devdas, Azaad, Mughal E Azam, Gunga Jamuna, Ram Aur Shyam, Shakti, Karma, Saudagar, and more. Dilip Kumar is also a recipient of India's second-highest civilian award, Padma Vibhushan, which was conferred upon him in 2015. Dilip Kumar is married to actress Saira Banu, who is known for acting in movies like Junglee, Shagird, Sagina, and more. The couple does not have any children.
