The Rockstar of Tamil cinema music Anirudh literally has it all going for him. He had an amazing year in 2019 with his work in Tollywood - Jersey and Gang Leader becoming chartbusters. His sole Tamil release Petta went on to become a viral chartbuster album, even the OST was appreciated. Anirudh’s 2020 started off with a bang with the release of Darbar followed by the album launch of Master. It seems to be the year of Anirudh for he has most of the biggies of Kollywood in his kitty. Anirudh is also scoring music for Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's Indian 2. His Master album just released recently and has been receiving rave reviews from all quarters. His recent single ‘Chellamma’ from Doctor is currently the most loved Tamil song. People are listening to it in repeat mode. The ace music director took part in a WYNK music concert from his studio in Chennai yesterday evening on the 24th of July. 
 
During the concert, Anirudh performed some of his chartbuster hit songs, while performing Quit Pannuda song from Thalapathy Vijay’s Master, Anirudh talked about how the film has turned out to be and how he is eager to watch the film on theatre when it releases. He has apparently, watched the entire film for re-recording and he is full of praise for the movie - “We have now released the lyric video of Quit Pannuda from Master yet, but I get a lot of message from people every day that Quit Pannuda song is very nice. Even I am waiting for the release of Master. ‘Semmaiya vandiruku padam,’ so hope you guys enjoy the film when it releases. I eager to watch the film in packed theatres, waiting for that theatre experience.”  
 
Master will see Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi sharing screen space with Thalapathy Vijay for the first time in a movie. Malavika Mohanan plays the female lead in this movie, which has an ensemble cast including Sriman, Arjun Dass, Shanthnu, Ramya Subramanian, Brigida, Gouri Kishan, Sanjeev, Nagendra Prasad and a whole lot of others. Xavier Britto is bankrolling Master under the XB Film Creators banner. Sathyan Sooriyan is handling the cinematography while Philomin Raj is taking care of the editing. Aadai director Ratna Kumar is also associated as an additional screenplay writer, in Master.
