One of the biggest and most-awaited films in development now, Ajith Kumar's Valimai being directed by H. Vinoth under Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP banner will be wrapping production on Monday, with the exception of an action sequence planned to be filmed abroad soon. Touted to be an out-and-out action feast, Boney Kapoor had at the time of the film's launch revealed that it would cater to audiences of all ages. In that light, the reputed producer dropped a massive update on the Valimai first look today, which has gotten 'Thala' Ajith's fans everywhere mighty excited.

Taking to his Twitter page, producer Boney Kapoor has now announced that the entire Valimai team is humbled by the outpouring of fans' love towards the film. He requested fans to bear with the team as they are currently working on presenting the film’s first look soon. He tweeted, "Wanakam. Humbled by your love towards our film “Valimai”. Bear with us as we work on presenting the First look soon. It’s in the best interests of the film. #Valimai #ValimaiUpdate #AjithKumar". Boney Kapoor's latest statement has taken social media by storm as Ajith fans have already begun their celebrations in light of the Valimai first look, which many are speculating will be out in March.

The talk around Valimai has shot up of late, especially after celebrated composer Yuvan Shankar Raja last week announced on his newly-launched U1records website that the opening song in the film will be "an ecstatic mass song". Describing to be a mass folk number, with lyrics penned by the multi-talented Vignesh Shivan, Yuvan had further revealed festival drummers from Odisha were brought in for Ajith's Valimai intro song, with a making video as well going viral on social networking forums. Valimai marks the second occasion Ajith, director H. Vinoth, Boney Kapoor and Yuvan are collaborating after the 2019 courtroom drama blockbuster, Nerkonda Paarvai

Expectations for Valimai have been massive right from the get go as the film will see Ajith playing the role of a police officer, which incidentally will be the first time since his Yennai Arindhaal in 2015 that he will be seen wearing the khakhi uniform. Fans expect H. Vinoth to deliver Valimai on the lines of his previous acclaimed films, Sathuranga Vettai and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, as the edge-of-the-seat entertainers went on to be lauded critically, while also turning out to successes at the box office. Apart from Ajith, the action film will see Kaala fame Huma Qureshi playing the female lead, with leading Telugu actor Karthikeya speculated to have been cast as the antagonist, followed by Yogi Babu, Saranya Ravichandran among others forming the supporting cast.
