Actress Anikha Surendran has become a popular name of late, especially among the youth after she garnered a huge following post the success of starring in Ajith Kumar's blockbuster, Viswasam. Prior to the box office triumph of the 2019 rural action family entertainer, the up-and-coming star played 'Thala' Ajith's daughter in Yennai Arindhaal under Gautham Menon's direction in 2015. Anikha had also proven herself to be a powerhouse acting talent after being cast as the young Shakthi Seshadri in the Tamil web series, Queen, which was loosely based on the life of the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa. 

Anikha Surendran, who will next be seen in the 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi starrer Maamanithan under Seenu Ramasamy's direction, in a recent interaction with her followers on her Instagram page, addressed queries on her Valentine's Day plans, including why she chose to enter acting, while also telling about how she deals with overcoming online sexual harassment and slut shaming. Anikha revealed that she never allowed comments of sexual nature or slut shaming to get to her and told that people are going to say what they are going to say.  

Speaking about her Valentine's Day plans, Anikha informed that she was shooting for a new project and revealed that she doesn't have time to date when asked about who her boyfriend is. She also tells fans that she never meant to choose acting as a career, but sort of got into it and has now come to love doing it. Talking about her upcoming films, Anikha reveals that she has a number of projects lined up next for which she is mighty excited and will update fans soon. When a few fans asked her for an update from Ajith's upcoming film, Valimai, the popular actress responded saying she is not a part of the venture, while requesting them not spam her on Instagram about it. 

Anikha enjoys a huge social media following through her photoshoots and ever since her on-screen appearances. It is to be noted that her name had hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently after a video with her face morphed to another girl dancing to a song went viral online. Soon after, Anikha issued a clarification stating it wasn't her in the video and also requested everyone to report it in order to get it removed from social media and other online websites.
