Media is full of speculation on Rajinikanth's next project after Shankar's 2.0. There was a recent buzz that the Kabali star is likely to star in the remake of superhit Kannada film Shivalinga, which has Shiva Rajkumar in the lead. Now, the buzz is that his next project would be a remake but not a Kannada film. Director Siddique's blockbuster Malayalam film Bhaskar the Rascal, which had Mammootty and Nayantara in the lead, is likely to be his next. Earlier, Ajith's name was linked to the Tamil remake. Siddique has already confirmed to a leading lady that the star is interested in the remake and a special screening of the film was held at his home. However, the team is yet to sign on the dotted lines.
