The latest buzz in the industry is that 2007's biggest blockbuster hit Mayavi's sequel is being planned. Shafi who directed the original will be directing the sequel also. Coincidentally the same producer Vyshaka Rajan will be producing the new film. Suraj Venjarammoodu and Salim Kumar are playing the lead roles in the film. The work on the sequel will begin as soon as director Vysakh completes his ongoing project Cousins.
