Asiavision Awards, one of the biggest entertainment shows of the Middle East, was held on November 15 with great pomp and grandeur. The top talented starlets of the industries were honored at the ceremony. Dubai Festival City became a gracious host for the ceremony. Super Star Mammootty won the Best Actor Award and Kavya Madhavan won the Best Actress. There were 35 award categories at the 7th edition of the Asiavision Awards. The awards show was witnessed by approximately 15,000 people and millions of viewers through television. Apart from Malayalam, stars from other industries were also awarded at the glittering function. The award winners were selected based on a marathon media campaign where voters were asked to vote through a dedicated website and SMS.
