Kollywood prints counterfeit currency

A scene in Prasanna’s forthcoming film Naanayam required innumerable stacks of currency in close up shots. So the filmmakers sought the permission of the government and printedcounterfiet currency (of face value Rs. 200 crores)! They have also promised to destroy the currency as soon as the filming is completed. It is said that the makers have spent several lakhs in printing this fake currency! Trying to tella tale in a realistic manner, cinema becomes a microcosmic representation of life itself! In Rajinikanth's Sivaji also, counterfiet currency was printed for the climax scene and later destroyed.

Naanayam is a movie about bank robbery, a rare theme for Kollywood. Prasanna plays the bank manager who heroically safeguards the bank’s money when a bunch of criminals attempt to steal it. As an added attraction, the film hasSibirajas villain. With Kollywood fans comparing him with his father Sathyaraj, who used to play villain before becoming a successful Kollywood hero, we can say that Sibiraj has a big responsibility to handle now!

Naanayam is a crucial film, both for Prasanna and Sibiraj.
