While cinematographer-director K.V. Anand's much acclaimed Tamil film Ko (Rangam in Telugu) is set to be remade in Hindi by Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, Ko star Karthika denied reports that she might repeat her role in Ko in the Hindi version as well.

When asked about it, the actress said that she was not approached for the Hindi version. "For all I know, I heard Akshay Kumar has bought the rights of Ko. So far, I've not been approached," said Karthika, who recently got the Kerala Film Critics Award for the best debutant through Lenin Rajendran's Makaramanju.

Karthika is currently busy with Bharathiraja's Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum, in which she plays Annakodi,  an out-and-out village-based role that will chronicle the life of the heroine from childhood to old age. The shooting is progressing in Theni.
