K.P. Udayabhanu felicitated
Malayalam playback singer K.P. Udayabhanu, who has been awarded the prestigious Padma Shri for his outstanding contributions to music, was felicitated by Swaralaya at a function in his home town Palakkad on Saturday. Inaugurated by film director Lohithadas, the meeting was presided over by Swaralaya president N.N. Krishnadas, MP.
K.P. Udayabhanu was also recently�awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award instituted by Thiruvananthapuram-based production house Symphony Television. Apart from K.P. Udayabhanu, music director M.K. Arjunan and noted technocrat K.P.P. Nambiar were also�honoured with this award, which was presented on February 22. The award consists of a statuette, a citation and a purse of Rs. 25,000.
