Namitha's Black Stallion begins

Black Stallion, South India's glamour queen Namitha's first-ever Malayalam film, directed by the famous Pramod-Pappan duo with comedy actor-turned-hero Kalabhavan Mani in the lead, has started rolling.

It is heard that the producersinvested more than 25 lakhs before Namitha acceptedthe female lead rolein Black Stallion. With this high remuneration, Namitha becomes the highest paid actress in Mollywood.

Black Stallion is produced by Jagadheesh Chandran under the banner of Kichu films; the script is by Rajesh Jayaraman. Scheduled to begin in October, 2008, Black Stallion was delayed due to the slow progress of Pramod-Pappan duo'sbig budget film Musafir, produced by Suneer Hamsa under the banner of Indis Creations with Rahman, Bala and Mamtha in the lead roles.

Planned as a musical action thriller with six songs, Musafir has music by four musicians: Ouseppachen, M.G. Radhakrishnan, Shahbas Aman and Balabhasker. After making a comeback to Malayalam with Mammootty starrer Black in 2004, noted South Indian actor Rahman comes as the solo hero role in Malayalam after a long period; Mamta Mohandas also returns to Malayalam as heroine after a long gap in Musafir.

Actor Bala has an equally important role in this film, which has already completed shooting in Dubai, London and Cyprus. The screenplay is based on a story written by Suneer Hamza. Dialogues are by Babu Janardhanan. Yousaf Lensman handles the camera. Musafir is expected to hittheatres soon.
