Meenakshi in Alexander the Great
Contrary to�earlier reports that Aswathy Ashok of Dileep's Moz & Cat fame would be the heroine of superstar Mohanlal's ongoing Alexander the Great, it is now heard that Telugu actress Meenakshi Dixit will be the heroine. Alexander the Great is directed by Murali Nagavalli, who made his debut as an independent director with Wanted (2004).
According to sources, Meenakshi Dixit will shake legs with upcoming young hero Bala in Alexander the Great, as Mohanlal does not have a heroine. The film has started rolling in Thiruvananthapuram.
Scripted by debutant C. Balachandra, the film is produced by V.B.K. Menon under the banner of Anugraha Cine Arts. Mohanlal has given 45 days call sheet for the film which is likely to be over by July.
Alexander the Great will be a racy entertainer in which Mohanlal will play Alexander Varma, a man with diverse qualities. Siddique, Jagathy Sreekumar and Innocent will appear in key roles. The film will have songs penned by Gireesh Puthencherry set to tune by M.G Sreekumar.
