Bala in Sivapuram
Malayalam-Tamil actor Bala, who gave�good performances in Kalabham (2006), Big B (2007), Sound of Boot (2007), SMS (2007), Ayudham (2008), Champada (2009) and Sagar Alias Jackie - Reloaded (2009), will be the hero in upcoming Malayalam film Sivapuram, directed by Unni Pranav, a former associate of director Shaji Kailas.
The pooja of the film was held on April 23 at�Kalabhavan Theatre, Thiruvananthapuram and was attended by prominent personalities including Minister C. Divakaran, Mankode Radhakrishnan, Sampath, Madhupal, Dinesh Panicker, Kollam Thulasi, T.S. Suresh Babu and others.
Produced by Ansal and M. Nazar under the banner of United Films, Sivapuram will feature script by K.V. Anil, and cinematography by Lal Kannan, who did the camera work for Chithrashalabhangalude Veedu. Music by Shan will set music to lyrics written by Anil Panachooran, Jofi Tharakan and Balachandran.
The film, touted to be a family-oriented subject with a considerable amount of action, will commence shooting in May in Thodupuzha. Also in the cast are Biju Menon, Salim Kumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Indrans, Sreejith Ravi, Manraj, Divya, Thanima, Kalpana, Usha, Kulapulli Leela and others.
Meanwhile, it is heard that Bala will soon marry Asianet's Idea Star Singer 2007 fame Amritha Suresh from Ernakulam. According to sources, actor Bala, a regular viewer of Idea Star Singer, fell in love with Amritha, who accepted his proposal. Bala's parents are said to have fixed the marriage after visiting Amritha's home some days ago. The marriage date is yet to be decided.
