Kalavoor Ravikumar, who has scripted some successful as well as average films like Ishtam, Nammal, Manjupoloru Penkutty, Choonda and Goal, debuted as a film director with Oridaththoru Puzhayundu, which tells the tale of children who take up initiative to fight against the exploitation of natural resources for commercial interests.
Though Oridaththoru Puzhayundu won the Kerala Film Critics' Association Awards for the Best film for children and for the best child artists in 2007, it could not make any impact at the box office. Now, this scenarist-turned-director is now ready to make his next directorial venture.
Kalavoor Ravikumar will soon direct a film to be produced by Sibi under the banner of Kris Eye. P. Sukumar will handle camera in this untitled film and Dr. Muhammed Shakeel will set music to lyrics written by Prabha Varma. Innocent and Vinu Mohan will don the main roles. More details are awaited.
