Documentary on K. Balachander
Remember director Madhumita Vijay, who debuted in films with critically acclaimed Vallamai Tharayoa followed by Kola Kolaya Mundhrika? She is now making a documentary on renowned producer-director-screenwriter and Dadasaheb Phalke award winner K. Balachander.
"Me and my husband Vijay Venkataramanan are directing a documentary on the legendary director K. Balachander right now. We have already finished shooting KB sir's portions for the same and are on with interviewing some stars," she said adding that the idea and its implementation sparked off around the time the legendary filmmaker was conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India's highest award in cinema for his contribution to arts.
