Director Cheran’s inclusion as one of the contestants in the ongoing third edition of the hit Tamil reality TV show, Bigg Boss, was no doubt surprising initially when the announcement was made. Since then, the three-time National Award-winning filmmaker has gone on to play a vital role in the functioning of the Bigg Boss house while also leaving a major impact on the proceedings that took place during his stay for 91 days. Now, post his eviction last week, Cheran has released his first ever statement after stepping out of the Bigg Boss 3 house on his Twitter page and goes on to thank his fans and followers for standing by him during this new journey.

On the professional front, it was reported a while back during the release of previous film, Thirumanam, he would be joining hands with ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi for a project, and it now remains to be seen if indeed the venture rolls into production.
