Dibakar Banerjee's Shanghai which was released last week, has collected Rs. 18 crores. The film starring Abhay Deol, Emraan Hashmi and Kalki Koechlin in lead roles received mixed responses. Director Banerjee who is extremely happy, states that he never expected that the film to do so well. He says that he wanted to present this movie for his fans from his heart and never thought of it from a business perspective.
Interestingly, the film has managed to make big business despite the tough competition from Rowdy Rathore.
