R. Balki's new avatar
After the highly successful Cheeni Kum and Paa in Bollywood, R. Balki aka Balakrishnan is all set to display a new avatar. The ad filmmaker turned director will teach cinema at a summer workshop titled ‘Imaging cinema: Emerging trends in film making’ to be held at IIT Madras from May 6.
The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras will conduct this six-day workshop to discuss�new trends emerging in cinema. The Tamil Nadu based filmmaker will team up with cinematographers Alphonse Roy, Fowzia Fathima and P.C. Sreeram, editor Sreekar Prasad, directors Abhishek Chaubey, Saurabh Shukla, Satish Kasetty, and actor Nasser at the event.
