Operation success, SRK on recovery mode

King Khan of Bollywood underwent a 90-minute surgery yesterday for a tendon injury in his left shoulder. The surgery took place at�Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai at 4.30 p.m. Doctors who attended on him confirmed that the minimal-risk surgery was a complete success and�they are hopeful he will make a quick recovery. The hospital also reported that the actor would be under observation for a day or two and his left arm would be in a sling for four to six weeks. The actor has also been asked to follow an exercise regime to facilitate his speedy recovery.

 

Shoulder-specialist Dr. Sanjay Desai revealed that SRK had a partial tear in his left shoulder since 2003. As the actor�had ignored it, the injury had developed into a complete tear in the past few months. He also�said that the stitches would be removed in 10 to 12 days and the actor can soon flex his muscles in Bollywood songs. However, sources close to SRK say that he will�rest for six months before he really takes up any Bollywood projects.

Many Bollywood friends of SRK are visiting him after the surgery. Farah Khan and Juhi Chawla were among the first few to step into Breach Candy Hospital. With the surgery over and SRK on the recovery mode, family, friends and fans are a relieved lot.
