For the past few days there were widespread speculation that Deepika Paudkone, who is playing the leading lady in Rajinikanth's Kochadaiyaan, will darken her skin tone by two shades to match Superstar's skin tone compatibility. However the producer of the film has rubbished the reports as mere rumour, he also confirmed that 'motion capture' technology (MOCAP) doesn't need any superficial makeup tricks.
The film is directed and co-produced by Rajni's younger daughter Soundarya R. Ashwin. Kochadaiyaan also has a huge star cast which includes yesteryear actress Shobana, Aadhi, Sarathkumar, Bollywood star Jackie Shroff and Rukmini (as Rajni's sister).
