Yesteryear Kannada actress Kalpana had committed suicide at an early age with sleeping pills at her bungalow at Belagavi. In most of her career, she had acted alongside the iconic Kannada actor, Rajkumar. Apart from Kannada, she's also acted in a couple of Tamil films like Madras to Pondicherry, Sadhu Mirandal, Pattathu Rani, Kattila Thottila and Thennangkeetru. The recent news is that, a group of IT professionals have decided to make a movie based on the last days of Kalpana and it is to be titled as Kalpana Nivasa.
The makers of the movie have decided to not use photographs of Kalpana. The movie will have Vijay Ram, Vedha and Ashish will be seen in lead roles. The bungalow, where the actress had committed suicide has been kept closed until today.
Producer of Kalpana Nivasa, Ashok Bharadwaj in a recent interview with a leading daily stated that, there is a unshakable belief among people that Kalpana's ghost still resides at the bungalow and that the story of the movie will be conceived involving the presence of the same.
