Censors lash whip on dominatrix Yana Gupta
The original Murder was too hot to handle, thanks to its eroticism and thriller elements. When its sequel announced with Yana Gupta in an exclusive item number, even more sleaze was expected. Murder already had a hot reputation, and with Yana Gupta in the team, would the makers stop with just a cliched item number or would they stretch the boundaries of sexuality in Bollywood?
So director Mohit Suri set the stage on fire when he showed Yana Gupta in an item number 'Zara Kareeb Se'. In this song, Yana, dressed in tight leather pants and jacket, lashes her whip at men shackled in metal chairs a red lit room. When presented for certification, the song and the movie made the Censor team see red. The Censor Board made several cuts and ordered the song 'Zara Kareeb Se' to be removed from TV trailers. Given the oomph factor in the dance number, director Mohit Suri was relieved and happily accepted these moderate stipulations.
Yana Gupta fans need to wait till 8th July to see the actress in her dominatrix avatar on big screens.
