Bidai success party in Mumbai

Bidai has successfully completed 100 days in Bihar's theatres and emerged as one of the most celebrated Bhojpuri films. After success, it's party time for Bidai's cast and crew. The Bidai team recently celebrated their success party in Mumbai.

The�gala�party was attended by the who's who of the Bhojpuri industry and many prominent people from Bollywood. Bhojpuri stars Ravi Kishan, Rinku Ghosh, Urmila Rao and the entire team of Bidai were present at the event. Many bigwigs from Bollywood, including veteran producer-director Mehul Kumar, director Jagdish Sharma, Lorense D’souza, Harry Fernandese, Babloo Soni, producer Abhay Sinha, Jitesh Dube, Alok Kumar, director-actor Vishwajit, Shakti Kapoor, Raza Murad, Kunal Singh and actress Sonika Gill graced the occasion.

Bidai is a touching story that brings to light the cruelties done in the name of� 'dowry'. A true story, it features�hapless bride Sugandha (Rinku Ghosh) who faces ill-treatment at the hands of her in-laws as her father is unable to complete the formalities of her 'bidai'. Her hair is cut by her in-laws and she is sent back to her father's place; her father, a poor typist who lives a hand-to-mouth existence,�is forced to find ways and means to meet her in-laws' demands.�What happens next forms the rest of the story.

Written and directed by Aslam Sheikh, the film won a lot of critical acclaim and appreciation in Bhojpuria. Produced by Chandrashekhar Rao and Ishtiyaq Shekh, the lead roles in the movie are essayed by Ravi Kishan, Rinku Ghosh, Mohan Joshi, Brijesh Tripathi, Urmila Rao, Prithvi Singh, Avinash Shahi, Anand Mohan, Amit Parashar, Surya, Dr. Satyanarayan Singh and Shravani Goswami among others.
