Akshay Kumar, also known as Khiladi Kumar, gained fame with his performance as an action star in the Khiladi series. He also showed a flirty side of him with his roles in Yeh Dillagi and Dil Toh Paagal Hain. But, did anyone guess that this man has a funny side too? Well the credit for that goes to Priyadarshan who made a super duper hit, Hera Pheri, in 1999. Since then, this actor-director duo has come together to give successful hits. An interesting thing is that, all their movies have been remade in other languages too.

In a span of over 3 decades, Priyadarshan has made over 80 films in several Indian languages including Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. Akki and Priyan have been a great combo and all their movies have gone on to become hits at the box office.

These great friends are now in a clash, as their movies, OMG (by Akki) and Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal (by Priyan) are releasing around the same time. A source says, "Priyan sir had already finished shooting for Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal long back and the film is waiting for release. In fact it was also the first to announce its arrival. However with Akshay opting for the same date, Priyan sir may have to rethink about bringing his film. After all, he has shared a very good professional and personal relationship with him."

Another common factor in both the movies, Paresh Rawal, also finds himself in the middle of the mayhem. He is not just the lead in Oh My God (OMG), but has also been a prominent feature in a majority of Priyadarshan's films. The source adds, "There is a lot to be looked at though here. After all, Paresh bhai was the central lead of Malamaal. Now when the second in the franchise was being made, Priyadarshan roped in Nana Patekar. It could well be the clash of veterans as well. As of now, it seems quite likely that Priyadarshan would have to make way for the Akshay starrer. While the promotion has already begun for the latter, the former is yet to open it's campaign."

Seems like an awkward situation for the duo.
