The outbreak of the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Pandemic has brought about testing times indeed for the entire world. However, some people are facing a lot more, with natural calamities adding to it. A wildfire broke out in the state of California in the United States, about three weeks ago! This is said to have been caused by a mishap at a gender reveal party, by a family. The fire has been ravaging many parts of California for over 25 days but the recent heatwaves coupled with heavy winds has caused the Northern Californian wildfire to roar back to life and it is spreading at a ferocious rate and has already crossed over 25 miles, claiming a number of lives.
California has set an unfortunate record of having nearly 2.5 million acres of land already burned this year due to wildfires. Now, we hear that three people have lost their lives due to a massive lightning-sparked wildfire, which is currently raging North of Sacramento, in California. This takes the death toll from the wildfires this year alone, to 11. These unabated wildfires have been causing thick plumes of smoke to spread all over California, causing the entire region to be doused in an orange light, from the break of dawn. Most people were startled to realise that even the daytime looked dark as the smoke fumes are very thick and do not allow any light other than Red, Yellow and Orange light to reach the Earth, creating an eerie hellish look across the atmosphere.
Thousands of people from different communities in various parts of California have been ordered to evacuate their house and move to safer locations, as the fire is spreading very rapidly. It has already destroyed thousands of houses and the panic has caused traffic jams as residents are trying to flee their localities. Many experts state that the rate at which the fire is spreading, is unprecedented. Reports state that atleast 14,000 firefighters are battling over 28 different wildfires across California. Many residents have been putting up social media posts stating that even the middle of the day, looks like night or evening to them, on the outside. Some weather forecasters state that this situation would continue as similar weather conditions are expected for the next few days also! Stay tuned for updates...
