It is widely known that the ongoing COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Pandemic, which is said to have originated from the Wuhan Province in China, was spread to humans from bats! However, it looks like this deadly virus does not even spare superheroes, even the most popular DC hero Batman! One of the most popular movie franchises of all time - The Batman has had many top Hollywood heroes playing the caped crusader! Following in the footsteps of Val Kilmer, Christian Bale, Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck and George Clooney, Twilight star Robert Pattinson is currently playing 'The Dark Knight' in the upcoming movie The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves! The movie had begun filming earlier this year, before shooting was stopped due to the COVID pandemic!
Shooting for The Batman had resumed recently at Glasgow but we now hear that it has again been paused! A spokesperson for the movie's production house Warner Bros, had stated, "A member of The Batman production team has tested positive for COVID-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused." However, they had not revealed the name of the person. Many top entertainment media houses have been stating that it is the film's 34-year-old hero Robert Pattinson, who has tested positive for the Virus and that he had been infected within just a few days of filming having resumed near London, after over a six-month delay due to the Pandemic.
The Batman was originally stated for release in June 2021 but had then been moved to October 2021 after the outbreak of the corona virus Pandemic. Robert Pattinson, who also stars in ace director Christopher Nolan's latest movie Tenet, has not commented on these reports, as yet. The Batman was one of the first major productions to resume shooting in the UK, after the government gave permission for shooting to resume by following the guidelines given out by the British Film Commission and the British Film Institute. Media reports further state that Robert Pattinson will follow the 2-week mandatory isolation period as stated by the health authorities and the production unit will then take a call.
