Obama’s paper plate autograph

Call it resourcefulness or the lack of it, but that’s the only signable material Marisa Tomei had on her when she was at the pre-inauguration party on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C! It was quite a last minute brainwave that struck her and she decided to get the signature of everybody present on a paper that she would keep safely aside in remembrance of that special day. Being last moment, obviously she did not have any fancy or non-fancy paper. All she could get and had to make do with was the paper plates that were being used at the party! She says, "They had a little bit of barbecue for us... and these heavy paper plates and I got everyone to sign one, including the President. Jack Black, unfortunately, took the biggest spot -- which I was saving for Obama." Another souvenir she has of the event is a photograph with President Barack Obama.
