South Indian actress Mrudula Murali, who was last seen in Malayalam film Ayaal Njan Alla and Shikhamani, will play the role of a real life character in the upcoming period drama Raagdesh. The film is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, who has helmed the critically acclaimed films Paan Singh Tomar and Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster, among others.
Raagdesh will be based on the Indian National Army trials (INA trials), which has already drawn national attention. The socially-committed movie is also rumored to have Kunal Kapoor, many other biggies and foreign actors apart from renowned crew members. The team is said to have been doing the pre-production works for more than a year. The source has also confirmed that the film will go on floors by the end of this month.
