Sameera's mother wants her in Kannada films

Reigning actress Sameera Reddy, who is currently resting and recovering from a neck injury that occurred while she nearly fell from a bike while shooting a song sequence in Pertshire forest for her upcoming film Tezz, said that her mother wants her to do Kannada films.

"My mother is Kannada-speaking, so she keeps on asking me to do Kannada films. I too want to give it a shot. I have acted in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and even Bengali, but have never really got the opportunity to work for a Kannada film. This is one industry in the South I have not dabbled with and am looking forward to working in Sandalwood some time," she said.

The actress, currently busy with Lingusamy's Vettai, Prabhu Deva's Vishal starrer and Priyadarshan's Tezz, also said that working in different industries is a refreshing experience. "I'm enjoying all the shuttling around and I'm grateful to the audiences who have accepted me everywhere with open arms," she added.
