Born as Amala Mukherjee and after marrying Nagarjuna, she became Amala Akkineni. A very popular actress of the 80's and the 90's, Amala has acted in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi movies. The serene Amala was last seen in Telugu in the 2012 movie Life is Beautiful and later in the 2013 Bollywood movie Listen... Amaya. A devoted Animal Rights and Social Activist, Amala married King Nagarjuna in 1992, and has a son Akhil with him. Today, this talented actress turns 45.
