A lot of movies are lined up for release this Diwali. Neerparavai and Poda Podi are among them. Neerparavai is a Seenu Ramasamy direction and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin. It stars Viishnu and Sunaina in the lead roles. Poda Podi is a romantic musical film directed by debutant Vignesh Shivan, featuring Silambarasan and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead roles.

Udhayanidhi has confirmed that the movie will release for Diwali only if Poda Podi doesn't. He tweeted,"Neerparavai wil rlease on Nov13th Diwali ONLY if Poda Podi gets postponed! If not on 13th Neerparavai wil def rlease on Nov 23rd!"

He further added that the release date of a movie is important, but releasing a hit movie on a correct date is the most important.
