Manjari denies smooching Nitin
“I’m in Mumbai working on a film now, so I don’t really care about what’s happening in Chennai. I just want the audience to like the film and my performance in it,” says Manjari Phadnis, who vehemently denies rumours that there is a liplock scene in�Muthirai.�One rumour says that�director Srinath proposed the scene and though she was uncomfortable about it, he convinced her to do it.
“I’m very surprised at the report. It’s been said that I was convinced by the director to do the scene�though I was uncomfortable about it. This is not true at all. I wasn’t comfortable about doing it and didn’t think the film needed a kiss scene, so I didn’t do it. The director was very understanding,” she insists. But what about reports that Nitin confirmed the filming of a smooching scene? “Nitin is a cool person and a good star. I’m sure something he said has been misconstrued by the media,” she asserts.
