It now looks like ace director Mani Ratnam has asked Karthi to learn the basics of flying for his next film--in which Karthi will be seen as a pilot. The film narrates the story of a pilot who falls in love with a doctor (played by Aditi Rao Hydari) while on a trip to India. The actor will undergo a 2-3 weeks crash course and upon completion, the makers will finally take the film on the floors. Produced by Madras Talkies, the film will have Ravi Varman taking care of the lens and AR Rahman tuning the music.
