Debutant director Sri Ganesh is entering into the film industry with an intense crime-thriller title 8 Thottakal, produced by Vetrivel Saravana cinemas and Bigprint pictures. Starring Vetri and Aparna Balamurali in the lead roles, the film also has Nasser, MS Bhaskar, Mime Gopi, Meera Mithun and Amma Creations T Siva in important roles. One of the highlights of the movie is the massive thiruvizha set. “A particular song in our film needed the visuals of a grand festival, and I must say that our art director Sathees Kumar and a technician from Mumbai has just recreated the original sights of a real festive season in a much grandeur way. With more than thousand people, we have erected this astonishing set in TR gardens,“ says director Sri Ganesh.
