Yaan is the directorial debut of the famous cinematographer Ravi. K. Chandran. Interestingly, Ravi K Chandran wanted to be a director right from his college days.Touted to a romantic film with a blend of action and comedy, Yaan stars Jiiva and Thulasi Nair in the lead roles.
The director of the film says that being a cameraman is easier than donning the director's hat. Reportedly, he narrated the Yaan script initially to Abhishek Bachchan. Due to unforeseen circumstances, he could not direct Yaan with Abhishek.
The aspiring director states that he is a die hard fan of MGR and assures that there would be no scenes in his film degrading the image of women.
