Exhibition on Malayalam cinema
Jabbar Patel, a renowned Indian film director and theatre personality, inaugurated an exhibition titled 'Paths crossed by Malayalam Cinema' at Kanakakkunnu Palace, Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday as part of the ongoing 13th�International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).
The exhibition displays the journey of Malayalam cinema from its beginning. Antique cameras (Mitchel camera), projectors (Cine Paillard), other cinematographic tools like tripods and lights and a rare collection of photographs and albums from the history of Malayalam cinema are on display. Albums of all IFFK events held so far are also displayed in the exhibition.
The exhibition will be open till December 19, the concluding day of IFFK. Chalachitra Academy Chairman K.R. Mohanan and artistic director Bina Paul were present during the inauguration.
