Popular Bollywood producer Vashu Baghnani has acquired the Hindi remake rights of Telugu super hit Ala Modalaindi. The Hindi remake will have Jaccky Bhagnani in the lead role while the selection of the heroine and other cast and crew members are yet to be finalised.
Ala Modalaindi revolves around Gautham (Nani) who is about to propose to Simran (Kriti Kharbanda). But, a twist happens when Nithya (Nitya Menen) hits him with a cricket ball. Gautham is taken to the hospital, where Simran meets a doctor and falls in love with him. They get married in six months. Gautham goes to the wedding but cannot face Simran. He walks out and gets drunk. Then he meets a drunken Nithya who actually was in love with the doctor. What happens next forms the rest of the film.
