The shooting of Allu Arjun'sVarudu was disrupted byactivists of Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) at Hayathnagaron Tuesday, triggering condemnation from film industry.

A group of ABVP workers carrying flags went up a hillock in Anajpur village, off Ramoji Film City, where Allu Arjun's Varudu was shooting.Seeing the approaching agitators, the film unit packed up and left. Allu Arjun also drove away in his vehicle.

The ABVP activists pulled out the stands erected for installing lights and threatened the remaining film crew. By the time the police and the security staff of the RFC rushed to the place, the agitating ABVP workers had already left the place.

The Hayathnagar police registered a case in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, producer Allu Arvind said that he anticipated disruption of the shooting of his son's Varudu and wanted the ‘incident to take place’ so that it set the general public thinking where the separate Telangana movement is headed.
