Small budget movies line up for release
This year, summer brought Tollywood a host of big productions: Jalsa (Pawan Kalyan), Kantri (NTR Junior), Bujjigadu Made In Chennai (Prabhas) and Pandurangadu (Balakrishna). Audiences got one big treat after another, each film vying with the others in terms of scale.
Now, it’s time for the small budget films. Along with the monsoons come smaller films such as Ullasanga Utsahanga, Rainbow, Brahmanandam Drama Company, Ankit Pallavi and Friends and a few others which are still in production.
With only Jalsa raking in the big moolah among the crop of big productions, it remains to be seen whether the small budget flicks can hold their own against the bigger films.
They say all good things come in small packages. Let's hope these films do the trick for Tollywood.
