India's item queen Malaika Arora Khan, who recently agreed to reprise the sizzling number 'Munni badnaam hui...' from Dabangg in the Telugu remake of Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh and was paid a whopping Rs. 1 crore for this item song, said that she is excited about doing an item number in Gabbar Singh.

"I'm really excited about doing an item number in Gabbar Singh. I've become really choosy about the item numbers I do these days because they are a dime a dozen now. After "Munni Badnaam" in 2010, I didn't do any song till "Anarkali Disco Chali" (Housefull2)," she added.

When asked why she accepted to do the number in a Telugu film, the response was quick. "Why won't I say yes? It's the official remake of Dabangg and since I was part of the original, the makers of the Telugu remake wanted me to be part of the movie through this song. I think it will be a kick ass experience. And I have always been fascinated by the dance routines in the South," she said.

It is noteworthy that Malaika, however, didn't repeat her Munni act in Osthe, the Tamil remake of Dabangg, starring Simbu.
