It's official - popular Tamil actor Kavin's next project is titled STAR and is his first big film announcement after his wedding to his girlfriend Monicka David. The film will be directed by Elan, who impressed audiences in his filmmaking debut Pyaar Prema Kaadhal (2018), with celebrated composer Yuvan Shankar Raja coming on board for the music. Furthermore, it has been announced that a promo from STAR will be released on the special occasion of Yuvan's birthday on August 31, and the wait is now on for what Kavin and the team have in store for fans in the week ahead.
STAR is jointly being produced by Sreenidhi Sagar's Rise East Entertainment and B. V. S. N. Prasad's Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra banners and has a talented technical team onboard that includes cinematographer Ezhil Arasu K, editor Pradeep E Ragav, art director Vinoth Rajkumar N, and costume designer Sujith Sudhakaran, with choreography being done by Sathish Krishnan, while Vicky has joined the team as the stunt director. It is to be noted that STAR was previously announced with Harish Kalyan and Elan, but had since been dropped and has now been relaunched with Kavin in the lead role, and fans will no doubt be looking forward to witnessing the new team deliver the entertainment on the big screen.

Expectations are high for STAR as it is Kavin's first new film after his wedding and is the second project this year after an untitled venture was announced sometime back with choreographer Sathish Krishnan as the director in his filmmaking debut. The upcoming film being produced by Raahul's Romeo Pictures also includes music by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander and will see Ayothi fame Preethi Asrani as the female lead, with production currently underway in full swing. Likewise, the announcement of STAR has come at a time when Kavin is still enjoying the success of his Dada released earlier this year in February and the actor will be looking to keep the momentum going forward with his new projects.
