Jamuna bags Mahanati Savitri award
Veteran actress Jamuna has bagged Mahanati Savitri National award for the year 2010.
Instituted by the Dasari Birthday Celebrations Committee (DBCC), the award carries a memento and cash prize of Rs. 2 lakhs. It will be presented to the actress on May 4.
Ala Modalaindi fame Nandini Reddy has bagged the Best Debut Director Award. She will receive a memento and cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh. P. Sarath Kumar and and Kumara Swamy will be honoured with the Best Film Journalist Award and the Best Still Photographer Award respectively.
DBCC chairman Tammareddy Bharadwaja announced the awards in a press meet on Monday. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao, N. Shankar, Sagar, Ram Prasad and Kasi Vishwanath attended the press meet.
