Denying the reports claiming that his proposed Hindi remake of his super hit Telugu film Happy Days was shelved, director Sekhar Kammula said that the remake will go on the floors next year.

"I've been contemplating on the idea for quite some time now. I'll soon start working on my next Telugu project, which will be followed by Happy Days in Hindi," Sekhar said.

Sekhar organised a talent hunt to find the actors for Happy Days, released in 2007, and he also wants to rope in newcomers for its Hindi version. "I'll cast my lead through a talent hunt if time permits. I want to cast newcomers because it will suit the context of the film," Kammula added.
