Gamyam in Bengali
Director Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi's super hit Telugu film Gamyam, which was remade in Kannada as Savari and in Tamil as Kadhalna Summa Illa, is all set to be remade in Bengali. The original version had Allari Naresh, Sarvanand and Kamalinee Mukherjee in the lead roles.
Producer Mahendra Soni has announced that he has acquired the rights to make the movie in Bengali and if initial reports are to be believed, Kamalini Mukerjee, who played the heroine in the three earlier versions, would be the lead lady in Bengali too.
The movie is about a college guy who goes in search of his lover, who disappears without a trace after they meet with an accident. In his search, he befriends a bike thief. The search also gives him ample time for introspection. Scripting for the Bengali remake is on.
