After making an impression in Malayalam and Tamil, actress Archana Kavi is all set to make her debut in Telugu. The actress, who garnered attention with her spellbinding performances in Neelathaamara in Malayalam and Aravaan in Tamil, is busy completing her first Telugu film titled Backbenchers.
"A bilingual, the film will release in Tamil as well. Mahath of Mankatha fame plays the hero in both versions. It is being directed by Shreedhar whose last film was It’s My Love Story. Backbenchers is a love story and I am really excited about the project," the actress said in an interview.
Besides, Backbenchers is a two-heroine subject and features Piaa as the other heroine. “We have finished one schedule and the next is to begin in December. We intend to finish the film by the end of the year and release it in February, considered the month of love,” she added.
