Galatta Media is well-known for organising grand events and they recently organised a Fans Festival for the well-known director Vignesh Shivan. The director is known for making films with quirky plots that often have a comedy element from his debut with Podaa Podi. His second film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan became a super hit and was celebrated by many. It had Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in lead roles. His latest film was Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal with Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha. The director shared some interesting details about his films, Rowdy Pictures and about her personal life during the Fans Festival.

During the Fans Festival, the director Vignesh Shivan interacted with his fans and answered some burning questions. A fan asked if he writes his story for a hero or writes a story and then casts the right hero for the role. The director said “If you take Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. When I first did the story, it was not for Vijay Sethupathi. It was for a regular normal hero. I thought it should become a hit if anybody acts in it. It was made that way. Then, when Vijay Sethupathi became a part of the project. I adapted some things to the script and changed it a bit. So, It is like that all the time, If we do a script that would not be just for a person instead would be for any hero. But, sometimes, when we get some opportunities, we should change and adapt to them."
A fan then asked about the moment he thought he should become a director, during his school and college days. “See, I wanted to become a director, but I didn’t know if it will be a success or failure. I wanted to become a director. From school time this was my intention. I wanted to be a part of the cinema. I studied for it, then developed contacts, that's it. That time, I did not know much, because my parents were in the police department. I did not know the in-roads so, with friend and all I just came in." explained Vignesh Shivan.
