S revealed on Thursday, August 31, in his birthday wishes to Yuvan Shankar Raja that he is waiting for the celebrated music director's phone call to do programming in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Thalapathy 68. This is the first confirmation from Thaman expressing his interest in being a part of Thalapathy 68 after he mentioned wanting to collaborate with Yuvan Shankar Raja and Harris Jayaraj on the programming front during an episode of Vijay TV's Super Singer Junior season 9 a few days ago. Tamil cinema fans will now no doubt be looking forward to this combo after Thaman conveyed his wish to collaborate with Yuvan in Thalapathy 68, which is currently in the pre-production stages with Vijay, director Venkat Prabhu, and creative producer Archana Kalpathi currently in Los Angeles, U. S. to reportedly discuss the use of 3D VFX scan technology in the film.
Announced to come out as a grand release in theatres in 2024, Thalapathy 68 being produced by AGS Entertainment is the second time the prestigious production-distribution banner is bankrolling a Vijay-starrer after the action sports drama, Bigil (2019). The film also marks the second time Yuvan is going to compose the songs and do the score for a Vijay film after their Pudhiya Geethai (2003), and fans will be looking for the music director to once again hit the high note. Production on Thalapathy 68 is expected to begin rolling after the release of Leo on October 19 and Vijay's fans will be hoping for the film to kick off on a strong note.
