Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar was last seen in the action thriller, Danny, which had a direct OTT release on Zee 5. The film received mixed reviews from the critics and the general audience. The talented actress has quite a lot of interesting projects in her kitty and one among those happens to be Colors. The first look poster which was released a few months before, received a good reception on social media. Following that, the makers have now released the trailer of the film. One has to admit that the trailer doesn’t pack a punch due to an uninteresting packaging.

Varalaxmi performs stunts and is full of energy. She is impressive. Debutant Ramkumar plays the male lead in Colors and he is the son of R Sarathkumar's elder brother, Sudarshan. Kollywood is welcoming one more new actor from Sarathkumar's family. He shows good promise in the trailer, but we will have to wait for the film’s release to see his full fledged performance. Going by this trailer, it looks like Colors will be an emotional thriller that will have strong family sentiments. The trailer also gives a feeling of watching a dubbed film. In a few shots, we hear someone else’s voice dubbing for Varalaxmi.

Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi released the trailer through his official social media page and wished the team for success. Noted Malayalam director Nissar has helmed this project and this film marks his debut in Tamil cinema. Produced by Limelight Pictures, Colors has music scored by SP Venkatesh, cinematography by Sajan Kalathil, and editing by VS Vishal. Prasad Parappuram has penned the film's story. One is not sure yet if this film will have a theatrical release or a direct OTT release and we will have to wait for a few months to get a better clarity on that.

Apart from Varalaxmi and Ramkumar, the film also stars Ineya, 'Naan Kadavul' Rajendran and Thalaivasal Vijay in supporting roles. Actress Radikaa Sarathkumar shared the first look posters and wished Ramkumar and Varalaxmi on this film. Apart from Colors, Varalaxmi will be seen in the Telugu biggie - Krack, that stars Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. Varalaxmi is touted to play a role with grey shades in this action entertainer that is directed by Gopichand Malineni. In Tamil, Varalaxmi has few other projects including Kaatteri, Kanni Raasi, Pamban, Chasing, Naandhi, which are in different stages of production.
