The 2016 Bollywood film, Pink, starring legendary Hindi actor Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, turned out to be a critical as well as commercial success. Pink subsequently went on to be remade in Tamil under the title, Nerkonda Paarvai, with Ajith Kumar reprising Big B's role. Nerkonda Paarvai also included Shraddha Srinath playing Taapsee's character, under H. Vinoth's direction, with veteran producer Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP Banner bankrolling the Tamil version. Since the release of NKP, it was announced that a Telugu remake of Pink too was set to come out and with 'Power Star' Pawan Kalyan, with the project's title revealed to be as Vakeel Saab. 

Directed by Sriram Venu of MCA and Oh My Friend fame, Vakeel Saab recently wrapped up filming, with post-production works currently underway, with the courtroom drama film's production being a joint collaboration between producers Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor under their Sri Venkateswara Creations and Bayview Projects LLP banners. Vakeel Saab has been a film that Telugu cinema and Pawan Kalyan's fans have been waiting for a long time, considering the pandemic spoiled the plans of the makers to complete the film on time and bring it out in theatres. As the COVID-19 outbreak stalled the film's production, there were meanwhile requests from fans to provide them with any treat, with the team subsequently releasing a few posters during the lockdown period. 

Now, Pawan Kalyan's fans are all set to begin their celebrations as the much-awaited Vakeel Saab teaser has been released. Pawan Kalyan has been paired opposite Shruti Haasan in the film, which also includes actresses Nivetha Thomas, Anjali and Ananya Nagalla, who have been cast as the victims around whom the narrative is set around. S. Thaman, who has turned out to be the most sought-after composer in Telugu cinema, has churned out the songs, including the background score, which he has now teased in the Vakeel Saab teaser. 

Vakeel Saab is a big film for both Pawan Kalyan and his fans, who will be witnessing the actor-politician for the first time in three years after he last starred in Agnyaathavaasi in 2018. The upcoming film is carrying tremendous expectations as Pawan Kalyan is one of the biggest superstars in South India, with a strong talk that the Telugu version of Pink will turn out to be a huge blockbuster.
