EXCLUSIVE: "We shot for 125 days..." - Udhayanidhi Stalin reveals interesting details about Maamannan! WATCH VIDEO!

Udhayanidhi Stalin is a producer turned actor who is well-known in Tamil Nadu. He is also the minister of Youth Welfare and Sports Development of Tamil Nadu. He has produced many interesting projects as a producer under the banner of Red Giant Movies. The banners also turned into a major distribution house and distributed many projects. Udhayanidhi Stalin as an actor has starred in many interesting projects and talented filmmakers including Psycho, Manithan, etc. He announced that Maamannan will be his last film as he took oath as minister. Kannai Nambathey is his second to last film that is set to release in theatres on March 17.

Udhayanidhi Stalin gave an exclusive interview to Galatta media, as part of the promotion of Kannai Nambathey. The actor said it took a long time to shoot Maamannan as Karnan fame director Maari Selvaraj sculpted the film. He said “We shot the film for eight months and we even released posters for 100 days of shooting. After 125 days, when we thought that the shoot will be over and a copy will be ready, we again had to shoot for 2 days and after all that I had to do this film." He then revealed that the Kannai Nambathey took a long time to shoot as he could be seen in four hairstyles in the film including Nenjuku Needhi hairstyle, Maamannan, The hairstyle of this film, but since it was mostly shot in night amidst rain the difference was not very visible. 

When asked if there were any betrayals he faced, Udhayanidhi Stalin said "It is one of the prominent message in the film and it all happens in life and we shouldn’t take it seriously." The actor also revealed that he has not felt lonely but he likes it sometimes.

Kannai Nambathey has created excitement among fans as it's directed by Mu Maran and has an interesting star cast that includes Srikanth, Prasanna, Sathish, Athmika and Bhumika Chawla. Check out the full interview of the cast here:
